A NEW-GENERATION DEBURRING BARREL

Already equipped with a deburring drum, METALIA INDUSTRIE SERENT is expanding its machine fleet with next-generation equipment that is more efficient and versatile. This new drum can process parts that were previously incompatible with the old machine, thanks to its enhanced ability to adapt to different shapes, sizes, and materials.

It provides effective removal of burrs and sharp edges, a consistent and repeatable finish, improved assembly quality, and optimized production-line processing, even for complex parts.

AN INNOVATIVE DRY PROCESS

The major innovation lies in the fact that it operates without water. Parts are treated by rubbing them against suitable abrasive media (ceramic, plastic, or steel), removing imperfections caused by turning, milling, or drilling. This dry process represents a major breakthrough: it completely eliminates water consumption associated with the process, requires no wastewater treatment, and significantly reduces environmental impact—all without compromising the consistency of the finish, even in high-volume production.
